Privacy Policy

ScholarshipDates is a static informational website. We collect no personal information from you directly, we have no accounts and no logins, and there is nothing here for you to sign up for. This page explains that in full, and discloses the third-party advertising and analytics technologies that do operate on this site.

Information we collect directly: none

There are no user accounts on this site. There is no registration, no login, no profile and no password. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, Aadhaar number, income details, marksheets or any other document, and we have no facility to receive them. The search and filter boxes on our listing pages run entirely inside your browser; what you type into them is never transmitted to us or stored anywhere.

If you choose to email us, we receive whatever you put in that email. We use it to answer you and to correct our data, and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Server logs

Like effectively every website, our hosting provider records standard technical request data when a page is served: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp. This is generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability purposes. We use it only in aggregate, to understand which pages are useful and whether the site is working.

Cookies and advertising

This site displays advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

Google uses the DART cookie to serve ads to visitors of this site based on their visits to this and other sites on the internet. Visitors may choose to decline the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google advertising and privacy policy.

Third-party ad networks we do not control may also use cookies, JavaScript or web beacons in the advertisements they serve. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their campaigns and to personalise the advertising content you see. We have no access to and no control over the cookies used by third-party advertisers. You can disable cookies entirely through your own browser settings; the informational content of this site works normally without them.

The Telegram channel

We run a free Telegram channel that posts deadline reminders. It is a broadcast channel: we post, subscribers read. We do not collect, see or store subscriber lists, phone numbers or contact details from it, and we cannot message you individually. If you join, your relationship is with Telegram and is governed by Telegram's own privacy policy — not ours. Leaving the channel at any time removes any connection between you and this site. We never sell, rent or share subscriber information, because we do not have any to share.

Links to other sites

This site links extensively to official government portals, university sites and foundation pages, because that is where you actually apply. We do not control those sites and this privacy policy does not apply to them. Each has its own privacy practices and data collection, and we would encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site that asks you for personal documents. We are not responsible for the content, security or practices of any external site.

Children's privacy

Much of our audience is school students, some of them minors. That is precisely why this site collects nothing: there are no forms, no sign-ups and no personal data of any kind gathered from visitors, of any age. If you believe a child has somehow submitted personal information to us through email, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for example if we add a new analytics or advertising provider — we will update this page. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced separately, so it is worth re-reading if you are concerned.
